Here’s an audition notice from Theatre South Playhouse of their production of “Annie.”

Now casting actors of all diversities for Theatre South Playhouse’s professional production of ANNIE!

Orphans/Kids – (female presenting) seeking kids of all diversities age 9 and older who can appear ages 8-16.
*Orphans/kids will not be cast due to height or size. All sizes and heights are welcome!

Adults – seeking non-union male and female presenting actors for various roles.

*Many of the adult roles will be cast as multiple characters.
**We may be double-casting the Orphans.

Please upload by JUNE 1st your Picture/Resume and a short video containing:

  • Orphans/kids – a 32-bar cut of a song in the style of the show, or from the show, and a short monologue of your choice.
  • Adults – 32 bars of a song in the style of the show and a comedic monologue.

Callbacks:

June 10th: Orphan dance call at 6 pm, Adults at 8 pm, Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, and FDRs callbacks at 9 pm
*Those only called for Daddy Warbucks and FDR will not need to attend the dance call.
June 12th: Additional vocal/scene work callbacks for Orphans and Adults.

Rehearsals: Begin on Wednesday the 21st of August
Wednesdays from 6:30-10:30 pm (Children released at 9 pm)
Thursdays from 6-10 pm (Children released at 9 pm)
Fridays from 6-10 pm (Children released at 10 pm)
Saturdays from 2-6 pm

Tech Week: Saturday, October 26th – Wednesday, October 30th, *Kids may not be released until 10 pm on tech week.
**No rehearsal on Halloween
***No rehearsals from Oct 5-13th and Oct 17-20th

Performances:

  • Friday, November 1st – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday, November 2nd – 2 PM & 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, November 3rd – 2 PM & 7:30 PM
  • Thursday, November 7th – 7:30 PM
  • Friday, November 8th – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday, November 9th – 2 PM & 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, November 10th – 2 PM
  • Thursday, November 14th – 7:30 PM
  • Friday, November 15th – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday, November 16th – 2 PM & 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, November 17th – 2 PM

With a possible extension weekend Nov 21-24th.

Seeking actors of all ethnicities and racial backgrounds, all sexual orientations and gender identities, and all body types.

*This is not a re-block of other productions. We are starting from a fresh slate and a new take on the classic story.

Pay: All actors will receive a flat fee stipend and an equal division of our 50/50.
